How many times do we have to go through this? Political appointees have no reason to expect to have a job after a new President takes office. The ambassadors who were appointed have not been retained under the new administration. All the ambassasors were NOT fired and the OP should know this.

That's why Presidents don't fire them unless they have others ready as replacements. Well that used to be the case.
