A Buddhist woman was shot dead and her body set ablaze early today in Thailand's restive Muslim-majority south, police said, as the country's junta leader began a visit to the region.

Police said the 26-year-old's body was burned beyond recognition after she was killed while on her way to work on the outskirts of Yala town.

"It's the work of the same group of militants who are active in this predominantly Muslim village," they said.

The story is news. Locked because your thread title is flame bait. You are welcome to post this story again with a less bigoted attitude.

/me waits for Aimster to come into this thread and blame this on the bloodthirsty militant Buddhists, and/or state that this particular group of militant Muslims are just a group of fanatics (much like the hundreds (?) of other groups of fanatic, militant Muslims) who do not represent the whole of Islam.

We don't have to wait for Aimster since you already figured it out.

In other news, somewhere in the U.S. a so-called "Christian" put a cap in some fellow human's ass.

A. WTF does this prove.

B. It makes the OP look like a complete dork.

What a stupid thread. Anyone who agrees with it is probably wondering why they cannot go ahead in life. The answer is, you lack common sense.

If the killing was religiously motivated, then it is yet another example of Muslim people who are intolerant of different culture. It might be able to be likened to the incident where the tolerant, peace-loving Taliban blew up the Buddhist statues in Bamyan because they were "un-Islamic".

What is your level of education?
Common sense is lacking big time with you.

There are 1.4 Billion Muslims in the world. Show me how the majority of them are violent. In fact show me how 1% of them are violent

Do you even know what is going on in Thailand?
Are you suggesting the violence in Thailand has only been coming from Muslims?

oh but you link the violence from Muslims to their religion but we ignore the violence from non-Muslims against Muslims in Thailand as not part of their religion. Excellent.

Hell let's make your life easier.
Show that the majority of Muslims in Thailand are violent
