RETAIL stepping Phenoms this time. Hows it looking Viditor?

Hey mate...like I said before, Expreview's "benches" just don't look right at all. Their voltage numbers are all over the map, they shift back and forth between single and dual on the memory channels, not to mention that they had the default clockspeed for the 9700 wrong in their "article".
BTW, I don't see the CPU-Z on this one (received an error loading the picture, then it went away altogether).

All in all, I'd say their tests are bogus, so I don't have a conclusion either way...

I'm having trouble getting these latest links to resolve. And since I can't read or speak Chinese.... Do we know for a fact he didn't sign an NDA? Did he disclose the source of these chips? Has he proven himself as a credible source of information? What BIOS is he using? etc. etc. That initial benchmark, using an unoptimized beta demo, never told us anything useful about either Phenom or Penryn's performance. Has this changed since? I have more questions and presumptions than answers and conclusions... except for the ones being jumped like sheep.

Anyway, AMD is selling more than just a CPU, but a complete platform. Seems like AMD is punished for being backward compatible. And AM2+ (HT3/split power planes) is inextricably linked with Phenom. Just like Intel will commence selling their platform starting with Nehalem. Otherwise those tests continue to be incomplete and inconclusive... at least for me.

Obvious Intel (and AMD) fanboys are just that: obvious. Nothing needs to be asked of them to expose where their allegiances are. It's the not-so-obvious ones that I like to poke and prod. That should be obvious for someone who purports to know whether or not I have an "agenda" and what it exactly is.

There's always an ebb-and-flow with regards to fanboys. When Intel's on top, there are more Intel fanboys.. and there are more AMD fanboys when AMD's on top. It's not just here on Anandtech, either.

Skepticism is hardly anything to be concerned about.

11 hours/11 days and counting....

This is the same website that leaked the 8800GT review before anyone else did (I think almost a week in advance?)

That review checked out with the others so I have no reason to believe this one is fake.

the inq has been right before, too. does that meant that they were correct when they predicted that 3870 would rock 8800gt's world then 2 wks later predicted the exact opposite? If you throw out enough crap then some of it is bound to stick.
