U.S. soldier dies in Iraq bomb blast

Sept. 10 ? A U.S. soldier was killed and one was wounded near Baghdad Tuesday evening when a homemade bomb exploded near a military vehicle on a supply route northeast of the capital, the U.S. Central Command said Wednesday. In northern Iraq, meanwhile, a suicide attacker set off a car bomb outside an office used by Americans, killing one Iraqi and wounding nearly 50 other people, including six Americans.
