My question is, is there a way to connect more than 4 IDE devices into a computer?

yes you can but you need to get a PCI IDE card

do a search with you local stores for an promise ATA 100 ide controller card PCI - or something similar.

i use one and its great lol

probably just get like a ata66 it will be even cheaper
