More Gore

Gore on Taxes: The wealthiest 1% are bad people. The only way that Washington can rehabilitate them is to take away their $$$. Once they are relieved of their filthy lucre they will then qualify for the $75 per year middle-class tax cut.

Gore on Social Security: "Well Jim you know its just too dang important to fix. However, I have been very moved by Mr. Bush's proposal to let allow people the option to invest a portion of the funds that they pay into the SS system ... so I now propose (boldly) a new program to fix SS ... I now favor doing absolutely nothing at all."

Gore on Energy: Replace autos with electric mopeds ... that will cause the price of petroleum to crash and will teach the wealthiest 1% a lesson. They're the ones at fault for gas prices since they have been hoarding gas and heating oil in their swimming pools.

... this could go on forever but I think that hear a criminal ... errr one of the wealthiest 1% breaking in the house ... got to load up the ALGORE 1000 pump action paint ball gun right quick .. damn can't get the trigger lock off ... I'm toast!

They both suck, and the Republican Party is daft for not putting McCain on the ticket.

IMHO, of course.

If you can't figure out how to put a key in a lock and unlock .you probably shouldn't have a gun either.

May the lesser of two evils win!

Red Dawn:

I did not get to hear the whole thing (helping wife you know). But .. Bush basically repeated his mantra that he has the skills to create a coalition to solve problems, that local control should be the primary point of contact in matters such as gun control and education, that he believes in less government etc. Same old, same old (but I basically like it).

I did see some dialog on gay marriage ... I think that Gore got hurt on that, Bush did not hurt himself, preached tolerance, but was firmly against special privledges.

Bring on Dick Cheney ... love that guy!

I think that trigger locks are a real good idea ... for the criminals that are breaking into my house ...

Seriously: I don't own a firearm and probably would use one if I had kids (of any age) in the house. I just don't like their promotion as as panacea absent any discussion whatsoever of the fact that some (other) innocent folks will surely die because they are used ... just a a little balance please.

Check ... I hope that they use better judgement than the last two times ... Surely the pure animal magnetism/pheromones of Bill Clinton won't be a gift bestowed upon AlGore! PLease nooooo!

I think one way that Bush has scored some points compared to Gore is the repitition of his assertion that everyone under his tax plan receives a break. As Gore hammers away at the upper 1%, it only gives Bush the opportunity to repeat, "Everyone receives a tax cut under my proposal." Since people seem to have trouble with numbers (if local news interviews are any indication), that's quite easy to understand and does sound appealing to anyone making money and paying taxes, especially those in the middle class who always seem to be shafted.

Now, don't start arguing about actual figures and all that -- I'm talking about perceptions here.

LOL!!

As long as Bush gives me 50 cents, I don't care if the rich get millions. Count me in the 50%. Oh God!!!!! MONEY MONEY MONEY MY MONEY
