Okay, before i was gonna make the commitment to winfire, i decided to check around. Here is what i found: HyperSpy.com
TOS
Basically It is a referal system. for every one peep you refer they give you a month of telocity. for every 10 peeps you get a year. You can cancel at any time, but you dont get to keep the equipment and you have to eat the 24.95 shiping cost. The first 30 days are free, and i dont think this deal can be combined with the real.com 3 month deal. If you dont have nuff referals to pay for a month and you dont cancel you pay the either 39.99 or 49.99 that telocity normally charges. The operation seems very sahdy to me. There is no phone # on the whole site and the general aesthetics of the site seem very "5 minute scamish" If anybody can dig up some info on this company that would be great. If this checks whole thing checks out i think that this would be a quite hot deal. BTW: they give you all the equipment, you just pay 24.95 S/H.

Not trying to be mean, but I think referral systems suck. Why would you want to spam 10 of your friends each year and force them all to stay on the plan for your to get free internet. If they each have to keep spamming another 10 you're eventually going to have a lot of pissed off people on your hands. I don't think any pyramid scheme like this is really a hot deal.

It looks like basically they are giving you what you can get going direct to Telocity. I don't like the fact that you have to "register" even before you know if you can get their service.

Not a bad way to get "referrals"..... like adding a Telocity banner to a website.... only BIGGER.....lol.

25 bucks shipping? Better be next day air delivery. It cost me 5 bucks to ship my old dsl setup back. If you guys are waiting for free dsl service, come back in 10 years. Even the 53k free services are closing down and charging. Is it not easier to just use a pay2surf proggie to pay for your dsl service? 1 week a month I use my pay2surf proggie to pay for my service, and I dont have to sell my friends out. But if you really need dsl, here's a tip to pay it off...GET A JOB!

I think it would be hard to get customers to sign up for a $50 a month DSL service, plus when do you get paid - after the 2 month setup wait or before. I am sticking with my 3 months free. this deal sounds like they have cutiff points where you get nothing or 4 referral but something for 5, it may be hard to get all 5 referrals to sign up and stay on at once.
