more forums customizing options?

I don't know exactly what fusetalk provides you with, but wouldn't it be possible to give users some more options for customization of the forums settings? there are a lot of features I think would be handy so I'm not going to list them all, but is it possible to give each user a lot more customization of the forums settings? or can most things only be changed for the entire system?

There are already a ton of customization and feature options for the end user, more than most forum packages offer. Feel free to suggest wants and needs to the above URL. AnandTech will not make changes to the product just a heads up.
