I have never heard of that kind of vehicle before... had to do a google image search. It's basically a Suzuki Sidekick/Geo Tracker.

Some of the toughest in North America as far as I've ever been told, but I haven't ever looked into it.

I'm trying to find them right now.

now how does that make ANY sense, considering you aren't even allowed to drink under 21, let alone drive while drunk

Here are the regulations:

Novice drivers who violate the zero blood alcohol restriction [.01 to .08 Blood Alcohol Content (BAC)] will be subject to a 24-hour roadside suspension. They will also be required to attend a show cause hearing where further suspension action will be considered. Novice drivers include drivers in the Learner and Intermediate Stage of GDL (Graduated Driver Licensing), Authorized Instruction in Class 5 or Class 6, and drivers in the first year of the Full Stage Class 5 or Class 6.

Anyone who operates a motor vehicle or an Off-Road Vehicle (ORV) and has a blood alcohol concentration between .05 and .08 will face a variety of consequences including:

[*] An immediate 24-hour roadside licence suspension;
[*] A $50 reinstatement charge;
[*] A mandatory impaired driver?s assessment at your expense, if you have more than one 24-hour roadside warning suspension in three years.

In addition, any driver with a blood alcohol level over .08 or who refuses to provide a breath or blood sample to police, will face a variety of consequences including:

[*] An immediate 24-hour roadside licence suspension;
[*] An automatic three-month administrative licence suspension on the spot;
[*] A vehicle impoundment for a minimum of 30 days;
[*] A mandatory impaired driver?s assessment at your expense;
[*] A $50 reinstatement charge; and
[*] A licence insurance surcharge premium of up to $999 to Manitoba Public Insurance.

Drivers convicted of an alcohol-related driving offence under The Criminal Code will be suspended and disqualified from driving any kind of motor vehicle. A conviction will result in a court-imposed Canada-wide driving prohibition for a minimum one year, and a mandatory driver?s licence suspension from one year to life. Some licence suspensions, disqualifications and court imposed driving prohibitions can be appealed to the Licence Suspension Appeal Board. If successful in their appeal, drivers may be required to participate in Manitoba?s Ignition Interlock Program for alcohol related driving suspensions and/or prohibitions.

In Manitoba (and most porvinces), the drinking age is 18. In a few places, the age is 19.

The judge could impose a sentence beyond the 21 age.

I got a phone call at around 10:30 last night that she is in the emergency room at one of the local hospitals.

She slammed her car (Asuna Sunrunner) into a fire hydrant and then crashed into a wall. Her car is totaled and she is being charged with a DUI. I don't know if there are any other charges.

The good news is that I just saved bunch of money on my car insurance.

The excitement never ends in this family!

fixed.

damn :( what is her age?

do you REALLY want a picture of a girl who actually drives under the influence of alcohol?

Get some standards boy!

Yeah. Most of the screwed up young people I've met have been good looking. Coincidence? I dunno...

But do you just want a "slam bam thank you ma'am" or quality?

Well, it depends on which state she's in.
But yeah, most states are cracking down on DUI's and since she got into an actual accident while drinking, she's pretty much hosed. May as well buy a bike and a bus pass right now.
