More evil from the Koch brothers (no surprise)

Well here is the real EVIL of the Koch brothers.

A few billionaire douches have more political clout than the rest of the nation combined. Who gives a rat's ass about their charitable work, they have taken away our democracy and given us an oligarchy.

If the Koch's want to do something really charitable for America, they should attempt jumping out of airplanes without parachutes. America would be so much better off.

How much did Soros give to moveon.org and all his political non-profits? Don't rail against the Koch brothers when there are equally rich liberal/progressives that give equally... and Soros is a prime example of someone who also pushes his money to where it will return the highest on his investments.

Guys, stop. The Koch brothers are vile individuals in many ways, but they have donated hundreds of millions to fight cancer. This is an undeniably positive thing that they should be lauded for.

It doesn't mean you have to like them, but you should be able to appreciate when people you don't like do good things.

Eski,

Now wait a minute there. Because of the Koch brothers and others of their ilk, the uber wealthy no longer pay their fair share. They donate a mere pittance now. They Koch brothers are paying 1/2 of what they paid in income tax before.

Are the Koch brothers donating all that extra income from lowered taxes to charity? Hell no!! They are donating less than 10% of that extra income to charity. America suffers as a result. Tell the Koch brothers to shove their charity up their own asses and pay their fair share of income taxes like the wealthy once did.

Let the government decide where that money is needed, not a couple conceited aholes looking for self-aggrandizement.

Eski, why are you willing to settle for pennies on the dollar when your father's generation did not?

LOL. 1961 as an example.

"It is a paradoxical truth that tax rates are too high and tax revenues are too low and the soundest way to raise the revenues in the long run is to cut the rates now ... Cutting taxes now is not to incur a budget deficit, but to achieve the more prosperous, expanding economy which can bring a budget surplus."
JFK in 1962.

Amazing how the Dim party has changed. From people like Kennedy (a scumbag in many ways but atleast someone with fiscal sanity) to just a party of total scumbags all the way around, and fiscal morons.

I've ceased to have any sympathy for douchebag Dims whining about not even qualifying for jobs at McDonalds. Why shouldnt willfully ignorant people not reap the inevitable results of the fiscal charlatans they've followed into economic stupidity?

That's all entirely irrelevant to my point. If you don't like the Koch brothers' stance on taxes (as I don't), criticize them on that. Attacking them for helping to fight cancer is pointless and stupid.

Yeah you realize that the idea that tax cuts pay for themselves has long since been debunked, right?

Kudos for the Democrats for accepting economics. When are you going to follow suit?

lmao, yeah that's what's going to happen if we restore the estate tax.

Exactly. You get things like the Kennedy family trust which was managed by Teddy Kennedy himself... Hundreds of millions of dollars tied up safely offshore.

All the dead Kennedy family members and as of several years ago, the total estate taxes they had paid from President Kennedy on was in the range of $250k * for all the dead one's and their estates.

...and who was a major proponent of the estate tax? Ted Fucking Kennedy.

Yeh, with a net worth of $30B+ each, them giving away $100M is like you giving away $100.

They probably spent more on politics in 2012.

Each brother could donate that amount 300 times before they go broke. What could you donate 300 times before you go broke? Take how much money you have, divide by 300 and that's what their donation would feel like to you if you did it. For me it would be like buying someone dinner.

Take your net worth... not the money you have. Add up what your vehicle is worth, your equity in your home, your 401k and other investments.... Then tell us if it is just dinner. And if you don't have any assets, how is that the koch brother's problem and not your own?

Do not confuse 30 billion with solvent capital.

I get the point you are trying to make... But lets do it right. Find out what their total charitable contributions were for 2013 and redo the math... Don't base it on this one donation.

This is fucking amazing. they are doing something good yet people bitch about it. or bitch they aren't giving enough.

bwhahah wow.

Well said, and good advice for all of us.

That's the beauty of the estate tax. It punishes the newly rich, land rich, and other unsophisticated undesirables while leaving the old, sophisticated rich untouched. Besides driving out those who are accidentally wealthy, it allows the truly deserving wealthy to snap up their land. Social engineering at its finest.

It's been said that "Liberalism is a Mental Disorder". The shoe, it seems to fit.

Yes, that was said ... by Hitler. I would personally avoid quoting Hitler when trying to make a point. Then again, considering who I'm talking to, maybe you knew this and it was intentional.

Do not confuse 30 billion with solvent capital.

Do not imagine that $100M makes the slightest difference in their lifestyle. Do not imagine that losing 90% their fortunes would affect it, either.

Worth $40B today, but only $4B tomorrow. The lifestyle difference is a badly wounded ego.

2nd'ed on link, please. Sounds 100% ass-pulled.

I'm not going to bother arguing with you being wrong about this since it's more productive to just leave it at agreeing with your previous post. (First rational thing I've read from you in a long time.)

bwhahah wow.

This is what the left does. Instead of commending them they whine that it's not enough when many of them wouldn't donate their own money or personally attack them.

Still angry about getting teabagged even though you deserved it.

Gotta love the stupidity of the left. They donate money to help people and these scumbags are angry and would rather the people suffer. They are pathetic excuses for human beings.

yea, teabagged, that's your 'go to' phrase that pays. Sorry indigestible, you're nothing but a sad little troll who at best is a just a sock puppet.
