EDIT: New new issue (Thread recycling x 2)
Why does it seem like everyone who I am dealing with on Craig's List works the overnight shift? So far, I am 3 for 4 in the last two months. It makes it difficult for someone like me (who works approximately 9 to 5) to set up meetings, especially if the item needs to be tested.
EDIT: New issue (Thread recycling)
So now I got this other guy who I am discussing selling the computer to. He wants to test out the computer. Just to be on the safe side, I mention/remind that the computer does not come with an operating system (none is mentioned in the listing), so, mostly he will be able to see it boot up and to play with the BIOS.
So, now he is getting a pissy with me about how he assumed it came with Windows and how was he suppose to test the computer without Windows installed. (Yeah, like $150 gets you a computer and my copy of Windows (WGA FTL).)
Or am I wrong?
Old issue
You may be familiar with this thread.
I just placed this listing on Craig's List (The AT FS listing can be found here).
I placed the CL listing at 4:30 p.m. then I get the following two e-mails from the same person:
At 5:05 PM
At 5:06 PM
I respond to the second e-mail at 5:13 PM:
Then, at 5:17 PM, I get:
Then I am thinking, "Huh!? Did you even look at one of the links in the listing?" and "This guy obviously knows nothing about Shuttles" and "If this is a scam, it is really lame".
I responded at 5:23 PM:
Also, all of his emails, which are from a Hotmail account, have the following appended to them like a signature:
Do those e-mails seem weird to anyone else?

At 5:06 PM

I respond to the second e-mail at 5:13 PM:
The computer has on-board Ethernet, so, in that sense, it is "internet
ready".
Then, at 5:17 PM, I get:
brand new right?

It was new when it was released in 2003.![]()
I bought this one in August 2004. It has worked great for me for almost
3 1/2 years.
