I'm tempted...must...stay..away....

Of particular importance:

? Receive notifications and messages automatically ? Leveraging the BlackBerry platform's push-based architecture, notifications and messages are automatically sent to the user; the user can also set a unique alert (vibration and/or ringtone) for Facebook related content
? Quickly access essential features ? Convenient onscreen icons let users quickly change their Status, upload a photo, add a friend, poke someone, write on a Wall, or send a message. Users can also quickly scroll through messages and notifications as they do with email messages
? Invite friends to join Facebook and accept new friend requests
? Quickly snap and post pictures along with a caption and tags ? The photo upload feature is also integrated with the BlackBerry smartphone camera and photo management applications on the smartphone
? View the Status of friends
? Read, compose and reply to messages even while offline ? If the user is out of wireless coverage, messages are queued until the user returns to an area of coverage

Facebook users will be able to download the application at www.facebook.com from their PC or BlackBerry smartphone beginning later today.

are you under 25? If not, that's understandable. If so, you are weird because it is the easiest and most effective way of keeping in touch with a whole bunch of friends that you don't have the time to call and catch up with (FB not myspace).

For instance, when I got a job offer in Austin a week ago I just changed my facebook status and wala, 150 friends now know whats going on with me and I didn't have to call every single one. Granted I still called my close friends and family but people I casually know or old friends I don't keep up with as well as I should now all know what's going on in my life.

I'm on Facebook at least twice daily, but that's a little much.

if facebook did not exist would you have called all those people to tell them you had a job offer?

i find that very strange indeed.

i have FB and a good number of my friends do, i check it liek once a week or whenever i get an email telling me soneone posted something,

i dont think ive ever updated my status, everything is the same as when i signed up, and ive moved and changed jobs at least once in that time frame

I guess I'm weird, I've never even been to the facebook homepage, couldn't even tell you what it looked like.

facebook is ok. I used to think it was just like myspace, before I tried it. i check it at night if i am at home and bored. it's in the rotation of sites that i visit now but it is getting a little old. it is handy though, i have used it to organize golf outings, parties and hockey.

Absolutely not, but that's the nice thing. People that I really don't have the time to keep up with can know what's going on in my life.

Like 2 friends of mine from HS for instance, they got married and I only knew because of FB (well I got an announcement later though). I don't talk to them very much but it's nice to know what's going on in their lives.

It's voila, not WALA!!! It's actually voilà but since you are not French, accent grave forgives you.
