It looks like the Swiftech MCX372 is hands down the air cooling winner but i REALLY don't want to spend that much money for a high performance cpu cooler, currently i'm running a Thermaltake Volcano 6CU (not the + with the 7000rpm fan, tried that TOOOO loud), my temps are about 38c idle and 52c max load and system temp @ 22-24c in a SX1030 case, what other alternatives do I have for not too much cash?

I was thinking Thermalright SK-6 with a nice H1A panaflo 80mm fan but how do you adapt a 80mm fan onto that sink?

well... you could buy a 80mm to 60mm adapter.... or you could try to fit an 80 on top with misc things (ie twist ties, string) so that it stays on...

oh... and too many people will tell you to get the alpha pal 8045... just thought i'd get that out of the way... it's a good cooler as well
