I love the last quote "Cover the full gamut".....well, as long as we don't worry about real history, current events, or anything that really happened at all.
Guarentee these people have taken out all pictures of WWII concentration camps. Taken out everything on the "Trail of Tears", probably even took out everything in regard to "bad Nazi's"....
PC is the biggest crap I have ever seen. Just plan BS. If I lived in California, I would be home schooling.

California school system is for sh!t anyway (atleast my parents thought so back when I lived outside of L.A. around 1987).
That woman's quote is just ridiculous. By representing "all sides" it completely skews the accuracy of our history textbooks. How does one re-tell that Salem witch trials without mentioning the fear of the
devil, which has been erased without replacement. The fact is that not all side
were represented throughout history, nor were all side
involved throughout history. Also, much of what isn't represented (American Indian History, for example) simply wasn't recorded. So are they just going to make sh!t up, or are the textbooks only going to be four chapters long? What are they gonna say when talking about the Mai Lai massacre and Vietnam, or the Japanese camps here in the US during WWII? Are they going to replace "jew" with "discriminated person of minority religious beliefs" when talking about the holocaust?
When it comes to history the concept of PC doesn't apply. You
have to tell it like it was, to the best of your ability (given the fact there's always going to be some sort of ethnocentric bias in a US history textbook).
