And you guys have a raging housing bubble up there right now too.
This. God damn 300k houses in this city, and it's not a dense city. I'm thinking it will just go down slowly instead of "crashing" but I could be wrong. Either way, don't buy.
And you guys have a raging housing bubble up there right now too.
And you guys have a raging housing bubble up there right now too. Your banking sector may be better regulated but please watch out!
There's a check list of qualifications and it's a point system. If you have skills like welding, that's worth a lot. If you have an arts degree, you're banned from the country for life and will be shot on site.
Americans don't have the same determination Mexicans have. Mexicans will huddle 30 people in 1 house just to stay in the US. Americans will go back to the US if it gets that bad.1. canada has guns?
2. if millions of mexicans can sneak into the US, what makes you guys think you can stop a few americans from getting in?
no surprise. US is in a anti business/regulation quagmire that won't end until the obama and all the other misery milkers and their anti business agenda is thrown out.
Sad that you're willing to join in on Canadian nonsense if it allows you to criticize Obama. Did you read the part where OP said that Canada is doing better because it KEPT the banks regulated?
that still doesn't explain why the US has sooo many entitlement junkies and declares war on the earners and achievers that generate the revenue for your entitlement quagmire.
Silly smug Canadians are about even sillier than smug Scandinavians (who are actually culturally distinct from the US).
The US and Canadian economies are basically the same. The difference is Canadians might have more natural resources per capita and less minorities per capita. If this economy doesn't turn around Canada is going to be just as fucked. There isn't anything magic about Canada's economy that would protect it from what's happening to just about every other Western country.
And Canada is colder, you buffoon.
Canada has more social services than the US does. This doesn't seem like the right thread for you to rail against left-wing policies when Canada is further to the left than the US. (Again, I don't really buy into OP's argument that Canada is doing better but it's odd for you to come in and agree with his conclusion when his arguments are the opposite of yours.)
Much of the US population lives more than 100 miles away from Canada. The fact that you're trying to act like Canada isn't that much colder is ridiculous.
The sad thing is you don't realize you're just as dumb as the "FUCK YEAH AMERICA! OIL, WARS AND GUNS FUCK YEAH!" people you complain about. Yeah that's right, you're basically the Canadian version of that kind of jackass.
And you're just an asshat on the internet. You don't get to decide who comes to Canada.
Please, for the sake of all the U.S. citizens, move to Canada. With all the problems we have, one less guy acting like an asshole would be a positive thing.
She didn't take the job, she currently owns her own company and is making more money.
The position offered was as an executive assistant at a company called intellectual ventures. The people before her that occupied that position were making 800k by the age of 30.
