resorting to self-pleasure by annoying others? with you being a(n) (ex)manager of a porn shop, i'd figure you'd have other sources of entertainment.

My first post wasn't more than anything but a personal opinion... only when you responded did i. I just thought it was idiotic to state somebody else deserves a darwin award when they're obviously making a better living than you.

And i didn't single you out... i've done this in the past as well when i've seen people post these rants. They almost all begin by saying 'how stupid can people be' or something similar. You just got more offended than most people.

Bill Clinton makes more than me and he thinks oral sex is not sexual relations. Andre Rison makes (or used to) and he couldn't stay out of jail because he was stealing cars. A person's salary is not an indication of their intelligence or their ability to succeed in life.

No it doesn't... but in most situations it's a pretty good indicator. The fact that she was a prof would be a good assumption that she's intelligent.

Yeah, you know, I am SICK AND FREAKING tired of people thinking that money, or jobs, or ivy league schools, or any of that CRAP mean ANYTHING AT ALL. Drug dealers make huge salaries, prostitutes retire at 22, Hitler and Ho Chi Minh attended 'Ivy League' schools, corporate leaders allow sweat shops and substandard production methods to increase profits....in what way are these people better than anyone else???!!!

Of everything on this planet the LEAST important things are the societal ones: money, job, social standing...don't matter at all. Ivy league people aren't smarter than others, they just have more money and are generally more arrogant and narrow minded. Rich people aren't better, just greedier.

Everyone GET OVER this money/power trip and learn what really matters in life, please.

i do believe that is where you are wrong. being a prof probably means that person is book smark. intelligence (which i would associate with common sense)? i'm not so sure about that.

This is directed at me? When did i ever say money/power is the most important things in life? I gave up some really good opportunities (things like working for a year that will set me up for life kind of deals) to attend school full-time, instead of blowing thousands of dollars in 'rice-ing' up my car, i've blew it on books and gifts, and instead of going to graduate school, i'm going to enlist in the military.

Have you ever heard me being superficial in any of my posts? Unlike most people, i've experienced what it is like to lose everything in the world... and when you lose it all, the things you remember aren't 'i should have bought that car' or 'i should have made more money', but things like missed opportunities.

That's what people with low intelligence normally claim... 'that's book smart, but it's common-sense that really counts'. Believe what you want, but most people with graduate degrees such as a professor would have some formal education on logical and critical thinking.

I know how that feels. My income is about $25000, which I consider pretty damn good for a college student. I get raped with taxes. Then I have to support my family because we are in huge financial sh*t. And I'm studying full-time right now.

Weekends.. most students get drunk at bars. I stay up to learn programming and/or go to work (or work on programming projects at home).

Worked my @$$ off in the summer with a sh*tty (but nice pay) full-time job. I don't think I got anything out of the $12000 or so I earned except for living costs, bills, etc. Oh well.

No wonder I can't get along with so many people. It's pretty pathetic to hear people complaining because their parents nag to get them to STUDY, feed them for free and provide a shelter at no cost. Oh no!

"I shouldn't have upgraded my computer and bought something my loved ones really wanted." "I should've skipped a couple of years of school and made money with a dot-bomb." :)

I don't know what the hell I'm typing. Just ignore me if I make no sense. :) I think I went way off-topic.
