wait a second...
I'd tell the interviewer that "If someone said "I'm dying, he's the only one in the world who can save me!"
or someone said "he's dying, I'm the only one who can save him. If only I could get to a place where I'd have the proper equipment", then I'd smell a scam. My God! That was a close one! I was considering staying behind with the girl of my dreams. But, I'm not so naive to believe this is an actual scenario, thus, she's probably in on it with them. Holy kielbasa! What if they wanted to steal the car and murder me?! How'd the three of them get to where they were? They probably have a car hidden nearby. What if there are people in the other car! The whole world's out to get me! Aaaghhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!! " <run out of the interview room, then re-enter it and ask the interviewer that you'll be professional about the interview if he takes the interview seriously and doesn't use cutesy retarded questions that he found on the internet somewhere>

I would take the old man, since there is no way to save him ask him where he would like to spend his last few hours and see what insighful information he might bestow upon you.

me - "just keep driving"
Inteviewer - "just keep driving?"

me - "face it, the old man is farked, I don't care about the Dr. and the girl in my dreams is always telling me to kill people....she scares me."

Interviewer - silence..

me - shrugs "I don't sleep much"

The correct answer is obviously to leave them all out in the rain so you can hurry to work and finish your TPS reports sooner and earn the company a couple extra dollars. You can't waste time saving people's lives on the companies dime like that; play hero after you clock out.

That's what one of my friend said too, since they're Japanese owned. He said the correct answer would have been "I can't stop because I have to get to work". :p

What I would do:

1. take down the top and put the sick guy in the seat and the let the doctor ride in back.

2. give the car to the doctor and sick guy.

I know you specify chosing one person but that is not the best solution to the problem.

run over the old man to put him out of his misory, make out with the woman of my dreams at the bus stop, then get in the car with the doctor and go get some beers

You give the car to the doctor and the old man. The doctor crashes the car and the old man comes down with pneumonia at the hospital. Then they both sue you.

Pick up the girl and keep driving.

Take the doctor, since somehow he's the only person in the world that can cure this mysterious illness. Leave the dying man with the girl so he can go with a smile on his face.

get the hose out of the trunk, let dr. kavorkian hook it up to the exhaust pipe and "save" his dying patient. after the old man is dead, stuff the doctor in the trunk, put the woman in the car and drive the doctor to the cop shop. collect the reward for capturing kavorkian and use the money to take the woman on a nice trip to the tropics.

I'd ask what they were doing out there in the first place. I smell a trap. Second, how is this girl the girl of my dreams? Is this based on merely physical appearance since I've just met the girl? In that case, the scenerio is flawed because beyond just looks, the girl of my dreams would have intelligence and a personality I like. Third, my dreams are filled with nightmares, so it'd probably be a bad idea to stop if this girl is something that did escape from my dreams.

What if there was also an overflowing coffee maker by the side of the road? How would this influence your decision and why?
