Moonwalk FTW

Man I remember watching when he did that first one. Everyone lost their minds!! That is still the most amazing dance move I've ever seen, it's just looks so crazy. If you didn't know better you'd think it was special effects or something.

Few people can even impress me with dancing, but after 23 years of watching him, I am still floored every second I spend watching Michael Jackson. Toss in perfect singing, acting, fashion sense, camera presence...I can't imagine anyone being a more talented or skilled entertainer, ever.

Which is why I am sad every time I think of him.

There's just something about him that's special (creepy child molester + young black man turned old white woman + insane?). I'm sure there's others that might dance better, sing better and have better fashion sense, but Michael definitely has that "it" factor.

Wow, after seeing him moonwalk after all these years, it's interesting to hear him explain how it's done. The flat foot is the one that slides back, pushing off the other foot (the one that's on the balls of the feet).

Come on... as I said, let's be serious. You guys are not really thinking Michael Jackson compares to geniuses like Barishnikov or Nureyev, right?

I mean... they say ignorance is a bliss... but there must be a limit somewhere.

Nureyev is universally considered the greatest dancer of all time, together with Nijinsky of whom we of course have no video recording and thus cannot really compare. This is like comparing Jimi Hendrix to Bach, and as much as I like Jimi it's just ridiculous to do so...

"I love the moonwalk, I love most of his music,His videos are visually awesome,And despite all the accusations of these kids getting molested thats bullshit. Michael deserves more respect than that. we all know if michael was a regular guy and it was one of us being accused he wouldn't judge us."

ha ha.

Have a look at what Barishnikov was doing in Broadway for fun before saying he couldn't moonwalk. I'm quite sure he could fly if he wanted to.

I guess ignorance is indeed a bliss.
