What a roller coaster ride!

Been off the forums for a few months, mostly due to time and the 2nd thread I begin reading informs me that Moombeam has stopped posting. So I'm thinking, "sweet, I may have to start makoing time to check the forums out again."

Through my tears of joy, I continue reading on, only to discover that Moombeam has decided to drag his self-loathing poison up from the depths so he can solicit and receive his pats on the back from everyone that feels sorry for him/her/it.

I only read a few of Moonbeam's posts, the majority of which were in L&R. I can honestly say that Moonbeam added NOTHING but poison to L&R. Moonbeam's answer to every problem was that OP is a pervert and bringing it on themselves. Yet, here's a person who's so busy publicly trampling on their own self-esteem in search of the next sympathetic ear that they can't even figure out how to get out of the way their own insecurities. I've met DMV clerks with more charisma.

I know, I know. I just don't understand, but I just have a difficult time having any respect for someone that so blatantly fishes for outside reassurance, yet is so eager to point out the shortcomings of everyone else's slef-esteem and moral compass.

Moonie smells of intolerance and self-hate.

LOL, do you feel better now?

All I can offer you is a poem... not even mine...

You poor, poor sad bigot. You have fallen for the same stereotypical thinking about DMV clerks as any KKK member has fallen for the absurd notion of the inferiority of non white people. Shame on you. I have recently had occasion to go to the DMV a number of times for various issues, for family members and myself, and I was amazed and blessed to find while there friendly, courteous, and profoundly helpful people. Of course, on reflection, it could be that the experiences you have with other people, like the unfortunate low lifes you expect to find at the DMV, and the experiences I have with them may actually reflect less about them and more about the different ways we treat them.

But on one thing we do agree. Those folk that I encountered have far more charisma than me.

The only real experience I have w him is from l&r where basically his response to ever post or question was that I or whoever hated ourselves so much, that it was the cause if the problem. I never really got any good advice from him and in general he annoyed me. But then again I only read his posts in the last yr or so .

There are a lot of people on the forum and on this planet in general, who seem to lack self reflection. We all need to do a little self reflection from time to time.
Some more often then others. Instead of focusing on the repetitive findings of self hate and accumulating the findings, just think how you function in your environment and how the environment influences you. And find balance within. We all think and speak in a different "language". because we all experience the world differently. It is natures way to not create clones but individuals... Makes humanity when seen as a single entity, extremely flexible and powerful. Yet so incredibly volatile and reactive at the same time...

Glad to see Moonbeam back. Even with the jab at all us eggheaded engineers. ;)

Hi Moony!

TLC

Had the same thought on MB and LR. There is a definite similarity between their posting styles. Although that could just be the fact that Lunar Ray has the right kind of philosophical outlook to be friends with Moonbeam.

I have nothing against Moonbeam personally, and am glad to hear that he was just taking a break and is alright.:)

However, I've never been as enamored with his philosophy as many other seem to be. In fact, I find it seriously flawed :shrug;

I have to agree with this.

That people can be so polarized about Moonbeam speaks volumes in itself.
Disgusted, enlightened, confused, whatever your reaction, at least you had one at all.

I am waiting for the people that asked to have moonie back, start flaming him again :(

Even though I thought Moon/Lunar were the same person playing unique characters, I never cared to bring it forward as they are both consistent in their replies...not like some here that basically follow the mob or always try to play opposite it.

IMHO no matter how much I dislike a poster, as long as they are consistent (honest/not making up stuff/not trying to stir the pot intentionally); it's entertaining at worst. When someone must just be an asshat, although it's not going to ruin my day; it's obnoxious at BEST.

I like moonbeams posts.

When I was a kind my dad warned me about liberals. Years later I met Moonbeam and realized what he was talking about.

It is good that you realized what Moonbeam was talking about based on a simple warning... I never had such warning but then my grandmother was from Ireland too... also as well...

I am very glad my posts have enabled you to help free your mind from the prison into which your father unknowingly attempted to put you, but be kind to him. He advised you as he thought was best for you. For him there was no light to lead him out of his darkness. He did all he could.

Bleh, your dad was probably in the KKK.

Because he hated himself right?
