Moonbeam: energy from the moon

No reason to go all the way to Luna for it, just put Solar Power Satellites in orbit and have them beam down the power. The U.S. has had such plans on the drawing board for decades now, but does nothing with them. The Japanese are actually going to be putting a prototype in orbit next year, if I recall correctly.

Analog or Asimov just completed a 3 month novel about using the moons reflective energy as a source to change the earths weather patterns. I don't remember the name of the story but the jist of it was that evil aliens use nano technology to convert the moons surface into a solar energy weapon.

How the hell do you "beam the power down"???

Do you know anything about Nikola Tesla? You can wirelessly broadcast electricity.

Tesla was probably the most misunderstood scientist of his or our time. He was unlucky as hell.

But in what volume (may not be the correct term). What voltage/currents can this be done at?
