Moon hoax not...

lol if the sun was man made then where would all the energy to power it come from. Pretty much every source of energy on Earth indirectly or directly comes from the sun. Even fossil fuels would not have happened without the sun given that vegetarian animals needed plants to survive and carnivores needed those animals to survive. Let's not even get into the fact that it would have been too cold for life without the sun was built by humans.

I guess these people don't think that deeply though. 😛

So these people say we can't really reach orbit (they imply that you would be 2,000+ degrees hot before leaving the atmosphere), but we made the sun? 😵

It's astonishing that (according to MY observations), the 9/11 truthers, moon-landing hoax defenders, Chemtrailers, "NWO" conspirators etc. are *usually* right-wingers, Trump-supporters types of people.

I guess the underlying thing here is mistrust/hate of the government/establishment (NASA of course belongs there, too) which seems more apparent with right-wingers.

Most of the time, their "arguments" they use to back their theories are also similar, eg. emotional motivated and blatantly ignoring facts.

(I am still baffled how people in their right mind can claim 9/11 was a drone attack, although thousands of witnesses saw the planes in NYC, and of course plenty of high quality TV footage.)

I was at this forum once, conspiracy theories etc....I honestly couldn't take it anymore, I felt like the only smart person among imbeciles.

You're right about that, but my conspiracy-minded half brother is all over the place politically.

Also, the left is guilty of the same thing in some cases. People think Michael Brown was a "gentle giant" and they just want to believe. CNN catered to their chosen viewpoint, so they latch on to that and call everyone else "racists" for considering any of the facts.

Except it was the left wingers who all screamed it was Bush's fault.

I think we can all agree, political leanings aside, that these people are absolutely nuts and really belong in their own special little party labeled "Crazy."

Then again there are people who think the ISS is not real.

It isn't real. They film it all here:

Unfortunately there really are people that stupid. Some claim the Earth is flat and they are serious. They have somehow managed to "de-evolve" themselves back to Cro-magum man.

I think most of the so called believers do not actually believe the shit they spew. They just want to troll the world.

All the conspiracy theory people work like that. You get barraged by words, and give up. I actually enjoy reading some of the stuff, but it just goes on, and on, and on, and on... I can only take so much bullshit that isn't story driven. Reading the stuff becomes as enjoyable as reading a reference book of erroneous facts.

It's called elephant hurling, and it's probably the single easiest way to spot a moron.

Why can't the Saturn V or better be built again ?
No one wants to pay for it again.
Why not save money on designing a whole new rocket and just build another Saturn V? On top of the normal costs, it'd be really expensive to start up production lines to manufacture technology that's been obsolete for decades.

Actually the F-1 still is an excellent engine by current standards, and an attempt has been made to figure out how it worked and to produce a modernized version.

Also the government was more trustworthy back then than it is now.
:hmm:
I'm going to go with "probably not."
We like to gloss over bad things in the past and remember the good more vividly or more frequently.

Humans have been prone to terrible corruption, and have been generally shitty to each other for an extremely long time.

True, and it's not hard to provide a few specific examples. McCarthy, Nixon, and Hoover (the one from the FBI) were all from that general era, and they were not exactly paragons of virtue. Even Johnson found out about Nixon's undermining of the Vietnamese peace talks through wiretapping, and as American as that is it doesn't really put him in a good light either.

good god, there is some flat out crazy shit in there. those people cant be mentally stable.

It's like someone who sat through a whole high school science semester, except they only remember a total of 15 minutes of it, obtained in random 3-second segments.

http://www.wildheretic.com/how-is-the-sun-powered/
The Sun is powered by an attractive magnetic field which I theorize ultimately comes from the holes near the poles. The Sun is made of an iron/nickel/cobalt alloy (invar) which is highly magnetic and easily induced (magnetically soft). This means that it changes its magnetic polarity to whatever is the polarity of the nearest magnetic field. This is Lenz’s law and creates a repulsion between the side of the Sun and the magnetic field from the Earth’s pole nearest to the Sun, causing the Sun to move up and down. This movement in a magnetic field is the basis of all modern electrical power generation – induction.

Of course landing on the moon is possible, but attempting to take off would result in getting stuck as the cheese melted. That's why it had to be faked.

and of course the understanding of relative speed is not possible

when we see it in the trains in every day life.
when you jump in a train you do not land back because the train is moving

because the system train and you move in the same speed and thus practically for you its not moving.

yes so hard to understand
the helicopters and the airplanes have a relative speed to the earth

gee if earth was moving the planes would not be able to flight both directions

and this people vote??? seriously!?!?!?!??!

I'm a "right-winger" and don't believe in that horse shit. I don't think Hannity or El Rushbo does either. 😉

I do not consider myself a Republican though. I'm a staunch Conservative.

Now watch all the leftests quote me.

Exact opposite of my experience. I know a lot of conspiracy theorists who are all left-wingers, though most routinely say "it's all the same" and "the same people are behind both sides so it doesn't matter who you vote for." When it comes down to it, their core beliefs are leftist beliefs.

The key is to only take off once the sun sets, as the cheese temperature is so cold that the thrusters have a chance to get the ship back up before it melts.

At least in theory, if the Apollo stuff is true, I believe they took off in day, and the cheese would be too malleable at those temperatures and melt and the ship would just sink before it can get enough lift.

Speaking of cheese, using scientific thinking, it's actually scientifically more plausible that the moon is made out of cheese, than that the Earth is flat. 😀

But the Earth really is flat. You do know that right? I mean it's not even inflatable. All the air is outside of the thing, on it's outer surface, not on the inner surface. If your tires were like that they'd be flat. I mean ok on second thought there are pockets of methane...omg the Earth is inflated with farts! No wonder this place stinks. Especially the New Jersey part of it. Just kidding Jersey. Except Newark. And the Jersey Shore. Screw those places in particular for no reason. Other than Snookie. I know I know I'm rambling again. Time to put Rambling Man by the Allman Brothers on the phonograph again.
