This is the new, special edition 2-DVD set, with Dolby 5.1, and many features. I got it for $9.44 at Walmart, but DDD also has it for $9.35 shipped (but be prepared to wait 1-2 weeks).

Kenny0829, for the Dead Parrot you'll have to buy the season's DVDs (there are three DVDs in each set, 4 seasons altogether). Check Costco, Sam's, DDD - they usually have the sets for decent prices.

The Meaning of Life is a spry 21 years old.

You saw Life of Brian, and you're better off having done so... it's much better.

I'd rank them:
HG
LOB
MOL

But only because LOB is so dead-on with its satire, not because it's funnier than MOL.
Actually LOB is by far the worst-produced movie of the three of them, imho.
You can really see the influence in it of the guy who later would make "Brazil" and "12 Monkeys."

I also wonder - why is HG so much more quotable? My mates and I used to know every line of that film.
Not so much with the other two.

I think because LOB and MOL are satire, not so much pure comedy like the HG and most of their TV episodes. They're all good, just in a different way. But in the MOL there are some gems, like the sex education bit. The HG is essentially a feature-length Monty Python TV episode, incredibly funny! LOB and MOL don't really make you split in half from laughs, but are also very enjoyable.
