I agree... it's one of my major points of contention with my geek brethren. in college, I'd often find myself wanting to /wrists when my friends would quote MP endlessly and fall over themselves laughing.

I like a lot of british humor, but monty python... idk, I just don't find the vast majority of it to be funny.
 
Holy Grail ftw. However, there are tons of shorts on their actual tv show that were downright awesome. Lumberjack, Spam, Hungarian tourist, etc.
