Yes Kadarin, that's the logic. There is nothing outside of their control. If a person wipes their nose on their sleeve, they're affecting interstate commerce by not purchasing Kleenex, so the way in which you're allowed to wipe your nose falls under federal jurisdiction.

The system is fucked beyond repair.

The only real hope this legislation had would have been things like automatic weapons, because there is no inter-state commerce in new automatic weapons. However, the bill does not allow for the production of automatic weapons. I really wish it did, I would like to see the ban on automatic weapons overturned. The ban is why weapon registration must never be allowed to occur, and it was driven not by logic nor was it done through proper legal proceedings, but merely by closing new registries. This might have been a chance to get some logic back, but alas there is no hope because they specifically stated that weapons that fire more than one round per trigger pull are not covered by this.

Come on, the legislature needs to look like they are doing SOMETHING this session.

And really? You don't think Seattle is important? I guess you don't use anything from Microsoft, Amazon, Starbucks, Costco, Boeing, Expedia, RealNetworks, Nordstrom, etc? And no one ever listened to grunge music in the 90s. You are correct, WA has contributed NOTHING to the business or culture of America! What a worthless state I live in!

Are we talking politics here, or teen-angst music from the 1990s?

I never said anything about the culture of WA (beautiful place), I am talking about the relevance to the national political stage, as that is what you attacked about Montana.

I said no one cares about Montana. They can make these cute little worthless political stands to try to make them matter, but they still don't.

And for the record, I would say headquartering a large number of very big, important businesses does give you political relevance. I see you didn't respond to that. Nice job!

Um, Montana matters because they do house a LOT of nuclear weapons.

You mean the ones on federal land, under federal control?
WTF are they going to do, storm them with shotguns and nuke DC?

Shouldn't montana be downgraded to a territory by now? 5 people and a dog shouldn't qualify as a state.

If people are worried about not having a nice round 50 as a state number we can just make Puerto Rico or Iraq the 50th state to keep balance.

And two of the five are on AT!

Hey now...when I drove through the lovely 700 miles expanse of I90/94 on my way to Washington that passes through Montana, I DID see a few cows ambling around some shacks that may have been farm houses in the 1800s. Don't sell them short!!!

Would you preferred I'd phrased it as "No one gives a shit what you say Deeko, you are meaningless"? Would that have been more relevant?

What about the 6 other states with populations smaller than Montana?

You forget cows. We actually have more cows then people.
I'd say get rid of the Dakotas first though, they apparently export floods or something over there.

I just wanted to say that Washington state has possibly the strongest world power per capita than anywhere else outside of Switzerland. We have what, 7 million people?

Alot of states are going down the same road. I've seen news articles, forums posts, etc about what a few dozen states are doing behind the scenes, preparing to tell the feds to f-off. I haven't seen this kind of crap ever, so I'm guessing the groundwork is being paved for something big in the future.

Yeah a big bunch of nothing.

Chest thumping and circle jerking. We 50 states are nothing without our union.

I'll be damned, never thought I'd see a Commerce Clause challenge to Federal firearms regulation. Of course, I see it mostly in the realm of taxation so I'm sure I'm ignorant of its wider application.

Awww this little boy came back to cry some more. Didn't I thoroughly thrash you last time you tried to argue with me, until you openly admitted you had no clue whatsoever what you were talking about and were just talking out your ass? Isn't it past your bedtime?

You really are a pathetic lamer. It's good you live in a big city so you can pretend that somehow makes you better then you really are.

Actually, they house a LOT of nuclear weapons because they don't matter. In the event of a first strike, Montana is going to become a parking lot. "Meh, it was only Montana, lets see if diplomacy can resolve this." :p

Isn't 'Montana' Spanish for 'long-term radioactive waste repository' ?

montana or heck, a bigger state like texas can whine all they want...
i'm glad my all time favorite republican president abe lincoln put a stop to any of this secession non-sense in 1865.
i like guns... but in reality, gun is good protection against criminality and not tyranny, since the government have better arms than you do.
