I, believe it or not, have HDMI cheap cable that flukes on 1080P signal, it works fine up to 1080i, but on 'P' starts putting noise randomly on display.

4 cables for about 26 dollars. I have the newly built pc with one of the 15 foot cables and due to the new gpu card a hd6870 the tv has a better picture with the pc then it does as a tv .

Laugh at SandEagle all you want, but I bought a cheap 12' TOSLink Optical cable from Monoprice, paying something less than $5 for it... and now all of the audio produced has about a 35ns delay in playback. It's totally screwed up the gaming on my PC!!! If only I had laid out the $60 for a proper Monster Cable, I'd have faster digital audio playback!!!

I had this problem, if you cut in in half with an axe you halve the playback delay to 17.5ns (a lot easier to live with)
