There is a $15 off $75 coupon for Buy.com out there too, so if you're dead set on getting this cable, you can grab $25 in fillers for only $10 more.

Overpriced or not, anyone supporting that copyright troll (Monster) deserves a swift kick in the nuts. Twice. With rusty spiked boots.

Well, after all, it is the "Experience Pack." In all fairness, I have a Monster coax optical cable connecting my blue-ray player to my receiver I bought back in the 90s, before we knew any better.

Monster has already been kicked in the nutts... that is why they are moving on to other business ventures to try to market their "Monster" premium names on products such as powerline, beats audio, and chopsticks. I talked to them at CES and they somehow manage to put a twist on commonly known features and add their monster flavor to as make it their own invention..:hmm:

just buy 2 for 85 bucks. this means a 200 dollar cable cost 42.50 this is a 78.75 percent discount. keep one and sell one to a fool on ebay or better yet audiogon. tell them as a bonus you will toss in a free coupon to microcenter.

You're not living until you have a couple of these babies connecting your equipment.

I'm sorry but those cheap cables don't give this guarantee like the Monster says:

"designed specifically for maximum Blu-ray disc performance"

MAXIMUM

It's like blu-ray.....on turbo and nitrous. No cheap wire is going to do that. Get FULL potential!

Laugh at SandEagle all you want, but I bought a cheap 12' TOSLink Optical cable from Monoprice, paying something less than $5 for it... and now all of the audio produced has about a 35ns delay in playback. It's totally screwed up the gaming on my PC!!! If only I had laid out the $60 for a proper Monster Cable, I'd have faster digital audio playback!!!
