Damn, and I need to buy a bunch of cables for a brand new install and setup at someone's house.

Does anyone know of another reputable site like monoprice? I am doubtful I can wait two weeks.

is this another joke?

damn, I'm slow tonight.

anyhoo, try bluejeans cables. pretty good folks. I hope they're still around (CEO gained interweb fame for blasting Monster when those hosehounds tried to sue him for patent theft--Monster actually TRIED TO CLAIM that they patented the USB interface--yeah, it was funny.)

I bought some stuff from them some years ago. Blue Jeans Cable are good folks.

Oh damn, Raising Arizona...

great flick! not what I was expecting 🙁

wasn't he better in Crazy Heart, the Lynch flick? ...(zinfamous still has not seen Crazy Heart...:hmm🙂

Oh snaps! If this is the case, I think that is why my debit card was charged 1K+ a couple of days ago. USAA called me and told me they have to give me a new card and to throw away my current one. It is being investigated. I ordered a monoprice HD antenna last week 🙁.

just checked. I dont see any charges on either of my AMEX I dont recognize. But then again, my last monoprice order was over a year ago. I hope they sort this shit out. I need to put in a large order over this summer

As far as I read it looks like its mostly confined to customers who ordered in the last couple of weeks who had this happen to them. My last order was last year some time. I hope I do not turn out to be one of the victims either.

I ordered not long ago, no weird transactions on my account yet. I don't think I save the CC info on the website though I always uncheck it?

I ordered some cables back in Oct, and haven't noticed anything odd yet.

Does anyone know how long the information has been compromised? Is it the entire site, or just the past few weeks?

geez.. i wanted to buy some speaker cables yesterday.

hmmm anyone knows anything about subwoofer? i guess i'll post in the proper forum...

you don't need monoprice for that. for hdmi and such with fancy connectors you'd have seriously difficulty replicating sure, but speaker cable is just plain wire. hardware store or electronics stores sell those by the roll cheap.

just got a call from visa, long story short i have to get a new card. they didnt hit too hard, but still a slight inconvenience.

I ordered a few Cat 6 couplers from Monoprice, and just paid with a credit card on their site...no Paypal involved. The next day I see a $150 charge from Walmart.com on my credit card! I called the credit card company, and they said they had blocked a couple of iTunes purchases just before the Walmart purchase. Why didn't they block that one too? Now I have to go through the hassle of reversing the charge, and getting a new credit card.
Something has happened here, linked to Monoprice.

Folks over at the FW Finance forum have been talking about this for a couple of days (some of them were hit).

It surprises me that Monoprice hasn't acknowledged the breach.
