What is "mono-processor" ?

It's a CPU with mononucleosis.

Give it about 2-4 weeks and most of the symptoms should abate. It may run at reduced clockspeeds for a few months, though.

I believe it refers to a system with a single CPU, versus systems with dual or quad or more CPUs.

Mono means one. I've never heard one refer to a "mono-processor" however. I assume it has something to do with making one's CPU cold with solution.
