I am looking into buying a new 17-19 inch monitor for under $200 but don't know what brand to look at. Currently thinking KDS Extreme Flat.

Any suggestions?

Well, I bought an AOC 19" monitor for just under $200 and besides the small problem with the break in period (it jitters a bit for the first month) I haven't had a single problem with it after that. It handles just about everything you can throw at it and doesn't give you so much as a whine or a whimper.

Don't worry about the rather long breakin period. I didn't like that much myself, but now that I have the new monitor up and running, I have absolutely zero complaints about the monitor. 🙂
 
My roomate bought a vewisonic VIEWSONIC 19" E95 and it looks great. he got it from mwave in store pick up for 190. He has had it for about two months and it look sgreat so far.
