monitors - black screensaver or power off for longevity

Just got two new monitors and am wondering which is better to preserve longevity or it it matters: setting them to black screensaver or power off after 1 hour.

The backlight would be the part to go if any - which stays on with a black screensaver. Turn them off for power reasons, but don't worry about longevity at all.

Turn it off. LEDs and CFL backlights wear out and become dimmer with age.

That's a really cool screen saver, but not my style 😛. I really like the concept of silhouettes though.

off after 15 mins. also i believe white uses a few watts less than black for lcd's
