Does flat screen make that much difference?
I'm looking at those Samsung CRT's and the 950b is looking all the more appealing for its price and reviews.
I own the PF790. Had it several years now and its still great and working perfectly. Viewsonic also provides great customer support, and the fact that they are no more than 15min. away from me, I can just go there.
And go perfectly flat. But I warn you, once you do... curved monitors = bleh.
i bought one about a month ago and loved it so much i picked up another with a gift certificated that i had at bb.
you could get a dell p990 off of ebay, i believe that it's a sony tube, i've used many p1110's (the 21" versions) and i can say they are some of the best crt's i've used.
A lower dot pitch is better (i.e. .25mm is better than .28mm). A higher dot pitch would mean there is more spacing between the pixels, which would generally translate to a blurrier image when compared to a lower dot pitch screen.
when i was in BB shopping for an LCD,i was [] close to buying a black Mitsubishi 17" crt...the display at least in the store at the time, seemed noticeably better than the rest.
