Hi all

I've been having a weird problem lately: my Dell 2005FPW LCD monitor won't go into standby, although it is configured to do so in display properties. Sometimes it will work, sometimes not.
I reinstalled the monitor driver but it didn't help.

Anyone had this problem before and found a solution?

thanks,

Leo.

To those who might experience the same problem, I have found a solution (more of a workaround actually).
I found out that if I activate the blank screen saver to start a few minutes before the monitor shuts down , then it works.

if i recall properly, you set monitors to standby in Power Options under the Control Panel, not display properties

I believe it can be done by either of these routes, at least I know it can in Win2000.

Yea set your power in Power options.

Start -> Control Panel -> Power Options -> Power Schemes ->

"Turn Monitor Off after:" <Select Time>
