System Specs:
Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe
Antec Neopower 480
XFX 6600GT PCI-e
1gb Patriot XLB
160gb Western Digital HD
NEC 3520-A Dual layer burner
Sony 16x DVD rom

So here's my problem. I have everything plugged in, but the monitor won't display anything. I have a feeling it's my video card, because it requires an adapter to connect the monitor to the card. Unfortunately, XFX tech support sucks (no info on the site). Anyone have suggestions?

i don't have another pci-e card but yes i did try the other slot, the monitor doesn't seem to detect the presence of the computer

I had the same problem with my XFX 6600gt. Only I have the Soltek K890pro motherboard. The fan on the video card would spin, but the monitor never lit up. I put in an old Riva 128 pci video card that I fortunately still have, and everything worked fine. I RMA'd the XFX card and now I'm debating which 6600GT to buy.

there must be a reason why the XFX Gt6000 does not work...i mean the reviews did not say anything about this type of problem. Is there something that im just not doing right?

Try reseating the card. Remember to plug that molex connector inside to the card, else you're probably going to crash out of a lot of games.
