Monitor suggestions

I'm looking to upgrade from my current Viewsonic VX2235wm, which I've had for quite a while. I'd like something in the 24 to 27" range that is good for gaming. I'm a varied gamer - Diablo 3, Dota 2, the latest Modern Warfare games for single player and a little multiplayer, and the latest single player games that go on sale (soon to be Skyrim, Max Payne 3, etc.). From a little research, it seems like IPS might not be for me. Better image quality, but much worse response time. I looked at a variety of the Korean 27" displays (including the one at Microcenter), but a lot of people complain about lag/ghosting. Should I just go with a TN panel, like the 27" Hanns-G for $270? Definitely prefer 16:10.

Both suggestions are IPS. Do you guys have gaming experience on them? I looked at both and saw some negative "input lag" reports from users.

I regularly game on an IPS (Asus PA246Q). Technically there's more input lag than TN, but it doesn't bother me in the slightest. I can't even perceive it.
