Sony G500, it's around $1100. It's expensive, but I only like Sony's, so I'm biased. Lxi, or someone else can give some suggestions on cheaper monitors though. Good luck with whatever you find!

My uncle got the Samsung 1200NF and it's so sweet. Wish I could get one.. so thats my recommendation. I think it's under $900 at Onvia. :)

The KDS AV-21TF is just under 700 bucks at onvia. Free shipping, no tax in most states, trinitron tube....

Wow, the 1200NF _is_ in and in stock! $819 or something. I'll have to give it a shot one of these days.

I think I would go for a Sony F500 (or G500). I've got a G400 and I love it. I use Samsung SyncMasters at work and they are not nearly as sharp as a Sony trinitron.

If your thinking about spending a grand for a Sony then you might want to look at the Mitsubishi Diamond Pro 2040U -sweet monitor and it has a much nicer warranty than the Sony-Sony is supposed to have terrible customer service.

Why spend a grand on a less powerful Sony or Mitsubishi than on a much better and cheaper Samsung?
