Monitor sounds like a cloud of bees!!!!! :(

I just bought a 900nf from a friend (so maybe it isnt brand new, but its new to me). Anyway, he got it back from an rma to samsung. I like it a lot, except it makes a VERY loud staticky buzzing sound at certain refresh rates and resolutions, even tho the picture looks fine. For example, the problem happens at 1024x768 @ 85 and 90hz. Also, at 1280x960 @ 75 hz. Help me out!! I have no idea what the problem is, and i dont want to keep a bum monitor!! please dont tell me this monitor is bad!!! (but if it is, i want to know before im stuck with it.

do you have another monitor there? sounds like the monitor is dying, or there is a problem with the circuit it's running off of.

i have 2 other monitors, a samsung 955df, and a sonly multiscan 20". Neither one do the buzzing thing. Did samsung send my friend a bad monitor on his rma?

Have you got the box? Clean it up a little, re-bubble wrap it, neatly selotape up the box and sell it on e.bay markes as "Brand new" hehe.

Yep, sounds like Samsung sent a bad monitor. I had to RMA my 753DF twice until I got one that was not damaged. However, Samsung was very nice about it both times.
