I have a HP Pavilian 19" monitor....bought new 2 1/2 years ago.........it takes a dump.......out of store warranty....HP wont talk to me....(yet).......i have called everywhere...no one....i mean NO ONE , repairs or even looks at monitors....What are you to do when you pay big time money, in a "good guy's" type store and no one even wants to talk to you...i no they want to sell you a new one....i quess there cheap enough...but that isnt the point.....i quess i'll have to take it apart and start probing around with my dvom...till i figure out what is wrong or i get shocked....lol....
my point here is any one have a suggestion where or how i can get this thing fixed....or am i in a loop ....buy a new monitor every three years....i dont think so.......

It's the same thing with VCR's. Most places want $100 to just look at it. You can buy one (probably better) for that price or just a little more.

Yea, there is always WebTV, no more monitors to buy.

I think you will be buying a monitor this weekend.

Definitely do not do that! You could get shocked hard enough that your pecker could fall off! :Q

Cheers!

I once had a 17" IBM monitor that had nice color and ect. Untell the monitor would not power-up any more. It turned out it would have costed me more to fix the thing. Then going out and buying a new monitor. I did take a class in electronic repair so all I would have to do is buy the part's.
