Monitor Reccomendation 19" or greater

Looking for a monitor for CAD/CAE work primarily so I guess a nice high res may be in order.
Obviously I would like the text to be very clear.
I wouldn't call myself an extreme gamer. I do like MS Flight Sim however.
Also would like to watch movies on it.


Important that the LCD will be a good all rounder.

I work with CAD 6days a week, and I highly recomend an LCD over a CRT. For text and 2d work, the LCD is easier on the eyes I find. Try this one:

That seems ok apart from the fact that its widescreen. Not sure about buying a widescreen!

I like widescreen for CAD work, you can fit more toolbars on the side of the work area while still having a big enough view of what you're doing....might take some getting used to, if you're used to 4:3 or 5:4, but i'm confident you'll adjust quickly.

well i recommend that you buy something simple : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16824112176 I bought a monitor like this for my friend and I was impressed with the quality i got for that price. Its good , its cheap , has all what you need to do your CAD/gaming/watchingmovie ect. but if you need to spend $500 you can buy a dell 2007FPW.
