Monitor Question

My wife bought me a Envision 15" LCD for Christmass and have the following comments, are these normal results? When scrolling the letters or whatever that is on the screen gets really blurry, the brightness from top to bottom of screen is really different, bright at the bottom and subdued at the top. I like to have blue rivits background on the desktop and they really look washed out in the center but around the edges look ok. It is running at 1024 x 768 which seems like a odd value to me. Also it seems to have a light flare around the entire outside edge of the screen. Seems like a piece of crap but dont want to tell her that.

Sadly, thats what you get when you buy a cheap LCD, the diferences in brightness and contrast are proof of this, but that resoulution is normal

Cheap?? Probably cheap made but she paid $300.00 I think she got took. One other thing when you scroll it looks like water and almost makes you seasick.

$300 IS a cheap LCD $600 for a 15" would get you a really good quality one with none of the blur, brightness or contrast problems

Edit: I think LCD monitors are currently overrated, $350 got me a nice flat 19" CRT
