Monitor Question

Could anyone who owns any of these, or has experience, or just wants to chime in tell me how either of these monitors compare to the Dell 18.1 incher. I wanna go LCD, I watch movies on my computer and do fairly heavy gaming, and want a decent monitor. I know, CRT's have better and deeper colors, yadda yadda, but I wanna go LCD to reduce strain on my eyes and take up less desk space. Here are the links Planar. NEC. Thanks all.

Ehh, the Planar has a lower dot pitch and is like 25% brighter. But the NEC is bigger. I'd still go with the NEC.

Assuming you're talking about the 1800FP, the NEC is essentially the same. The Planar isn't as good... it only has a 77 Hz refresh (the NEC and the Dell have 85 Hz). If you're into gaming, a higher refresh will be important.

Um, my 1800FP doesn't go to 85... but it doesn't matter anyways, REFRESH RATES DO NOT MATTER FOR LCD.

Yeesh, excu-uuuu-use me. I've only had one LCD and it was a Princeton with a refresh of 60 Hz. Looked terrible. Lots of ghosting. Besides, it's like 6 am here. Lighten up.

Well, the main reason I asked is that the NEC has a 30ms response time, and I wondered if anyone actually owned it and if ghosting was a problem. The planar has a 16ms response time, and a better given brightness and contrast ratio. Anyone else own either of these and can comment?
