Monitor problems, lines going up and down

I just reformatted my machine and now I have stripes (waves) moving up and/or down (depending) on the monitors. This is very annoying and was not there this morning before I started. I am sure I have installed all the drivers etc.


When I turn one monitor off the other's "waves" slows down a bit.

Im at 1600x1200 @ 60hz on both. I have tried different resolutions and hz but nothing fixes it.

Figured it out.

It was the External Harddrive I had on top of my computer that I just got to back up data before the format. I turned it off and all is well.
