Monitor out of range?

My screen just went blue with a warning that my monitor was out of range.. Can anyone tell me what this means and how or what do I adjust? I was viewing a web page at the time.. Thanks in advance..

this means that you are trying to run your video card at a resolution or frequency that is too high for your monitor to handle... check your manufacturer's website to see what your specific monitor can handle

I didn't think that was possible. I thought this monitor could handle most refresh rates easily?

My video card is the radeon le and my monitor is the kds Av-195 something.

Where do I look to change the refresh settings?? Are the refresh specific or just in the display? Do I get the dumb question award? Since I rebooted all is fine, but I'd like to know for future ref..
Thanks everyone...

it depends on what card you are running and what drivers where it is located... but it should be somewhere in the display setting under the the settings tab
(For my mx it is Advanced -> Monitor (tab))
