lately i have been having these waivey horizontal lines on my monitor, where the screen looks like it flexes. there is no color distortion, it just looks like a wave goes through my monitor. so is it more likely a monitor problem or a gpu problem?

probably interference from speakers or sumthing.

edit: trying using a different monitor and see if its the same thing or moving your crt away like sitting on floor if it goes away than its interference probably if it stays try using a different monitor tell me what happens.

as a matter of fact, there is a cell phone sitting directly under it. i will move it and see if that fixes the problem.

i have had issues in the past with cell phones and speakers, but not monitors...interesting. thanks

change your refresh rate. its magnetic interference. sometimes changing (lowering) your refresh rate will get rid of it or make it less noticable.

Clear Moire on your monitor can also compensate for it. Though it took its toll on my monitor. In its final year, shes geetting the purple tinge intermitently. Poor girl.

Im serious when I say try changing the clear moire. I have huge ripples along the side of my monitor without it. Bigass speakers and television eating the poor thing.
