Monitor making creaking noises?

Just picked up this monitor yesterday. I love the glossy screen and the PQ is pretty good. Anyways the damn thing is making these intermittent creaking noises, like an old house makes. Is this something that will go away in time? Is there a fix for this? It happens even with the power unplugged so I'm not sure what's causing it at this point.

Is it a big ol' CRT? If so then thats normal. Yea, it is like an old house, expanding and contracting to the changing temperatures within the monitor and room.

It's an LCD but I never thought about that. I guess the plastic is still expanding/contracting and the noises will go away in time.
