I've owned two computers so far. Both of them had two different, but 17 inch monitors. I was thinking of buying a new computer for christmas, but im not sure if I want to get a new, bigger monitor. I'm more into gaming, but I have never tried like a 19 or 21 inch monitor. I currently have Sony 17"er. The one like that: http://www.amazon.com/Sony-SDM...or-Black/dp/B0007RTCDW . Should I try to sell mine and get bigger one? Because I'm limited only to 1000 us dollars for a new personal computer.

It depends how powerful the rest of your system is going to be. For $1000, you can build a pretty nice gaming system, IF you don't include all of the extras. If you start throwing in a decent keyboard, mouse, speakers / headphones, and a monitor, things get a little sticky.

With your budget, I'd probably shop around for a decent, cheap 19", 20.1", or 22" monitor. If you can snag something for $150 and still get all of the other hardware you want, go for it. Otherwise, I'd use a 17" until you can shell out enough for a 20.1" or 22" monitor. Though 19" would be a major step up in your situation (trust me, 1280x1024 is much nicer than 1024x768), it would still be a bit small compared to the current trend.

No I don't need any extras other than monitor. I guess I would go for a 20.1". I'll try to sell my current monitor, and the computer on ebay, and that should definally cash enough money.
