I have a Radeon X700 pro (gigabyte) and a 2001FP, occasionally my monitor goes blank and it says that DVI-D is in 'Power saving mode'
Recalibrates when I mess with the monitor settings from the other monitor, or unplug-plug back in. Anyone else have any problems similar to this, or could someone give me an idea of where I should be going with this?

could it be that your dvi-d on your video card is defective. my radeon 9000's dvi-d does the samething.

Hmm.. I hope not. It stopped doing it under D-Sub. And when I use the D-sub/DVI adapter it still does it under the DVI port.

Monitor connector(s) tight? Video card tight in socket? Power cord TIGHT at both ends - those IEC connectors can fool you?

heres the annoying thing. It doesn't exhibit the behavior when under VGA mode. I'm going to get a PCI videocard and see if it works like that.
