monitor incompatibility?

have an older flatpanel (AOC LM520) 15" and was trying to get it to work with an optiplex gx270, but no go...it'd work with anything else attached to it but that one. any ideas/thoughts?

Exactly what problems are you having? Other than "it wont work". Does the picture come on at all? Make sure your refreshrate is set to 60hz
 
If you haven't tried yet, go to the website of the maufacturer and get the latest drivers.
AOC drivers

Also get the latest drivers for your video card.
On an older Dell Optiplex, I believe that could be either an ATI or an nVidia vid card.

 
sorry for vagueness...new drivers have been attempted for both video and monitor, and it's a question of it even getting past standby...all you get is the amber light (unless it's installed on another comp, apparently)
 
I have four of these monitors and they work fine no matter what I plug them into. Is there a possibility something isn't configured right in the BIOS?

And lastly why dont you contact Dell Technical Support?
