Monitor HELP PEASE

So i'm at Purdue University and i have my monitor here and like every since it got here it's fuzzy and everything. Anyone know how to fix this, by fuzzy i mean like the sides of them are vibrating and it hurts my eyes like crazy. Please help me if ou have any ideas. I think it's the frequencies that are screwing things up, but i don't know what to do. Right now as i write, it's all vibrating and fuzzy, i can't describe it really that well, but yes, thank you.

Check your refresh rates in Windows would be my first step and trying different settings there... Also check your surroundings as well for anything that would cause interference... had cases where I plug a fan into an outlet elsewhere and turn it on it would cause the screen to shake....

Had a friend who was going nuts trying to figure out why his monitor was occasionally jumping all over the place. Worked fine until he moved it, and even then, much of the time, it was fine. Turns out the refrigerator was on the other side of the wall. When it kicked on, it caused interference (even though it was on a separate circuit). Motor's big enough to do that I guess. (He had to move it again. Fridge had nowhere else it could go. 🙂 )

Oh, and welcome to Anandtech Forums.
