i just purchased a 19' mag monitor today

19" High-Contrast FST CRT Monitor
Model: 986FS
19" screen (18" viewable)
Up to 1600 x 1200 resolution at 65Hz
0.25mm dot pitch
JAG ODS single-button control; choose a control function and make display adjustments with 1 dial
e-DVD function enhances display performance for high-demand graphics
50-160Hz vertical frequency
30-86Hz horizontal frequency

the geometry of the monitory is all screwy. like looks like a big bubble. fat in the middle and small at the corners. no matter how much i adjust the monitor i cant get it perfectly aligned. have any suggestions??

What resolution and refresh rate are you running? Some monitor makers advertised way over their product's capability. Try running the refresh rate of 75Hz and 1024 X 768 resolution first and see if you can control the geometry to your liking. If not then RMA it and get something better.

Check the user guide. Is 1152 x 864 at 85Hz a preset resolution in the monitors memory. If it is then there is a problem. If not run the monitor at one of the preset resolutions in the monitors memory. This almost always fixes the problem.
