monitor flickers

Its pretty old, over 2years old, it came with a pII 233 dell... It keeps flickering, and is killing my eyes, i have raised refresh rate to max, and i know its not my video card. Anything i can do?

Yeah, it sounds like the monitor is about to die. Is it making any strange humming/whining noises? You could always try it out on another computer to see if it really is the monitors problem. Other than that, it looks like it might be time to buy a new one.

I doubt that's the problem, my monitor is over 3 years old and it's a piece of sh.it sceptre. My suggestion is to look for a driver for it
im sure it supports higher refresh rates than the generic driver that windows supplies.

that's a pretty old monitor? it's probably still under warranty, check Dell to see if it is or not... like frover2000 said, try to install the monitor driver to see if it helps.
